Amelia
Amelia is a beautiful Black Himalayan sow, she is approx 3.5yrs old. She is blind in her right eye and is slowly loosing her sight in her left. She has also had previous to coming into rescue a severe ear infection which was left untreated and therefore now also has a head tilt. None of her issues cause her any problems. She lives with another Black Himalayan Sow and a neutered boar at Becky's home.
Thelma
Thelma is a 5yr old Brown & White sow. As well as being elderly she has re-occurring skin conditions, cysts and is on Metacam for Arthritis. She is a spayed sow and won the heart of our Foster carer Becca. Thelma now lives with her own husband Arthur who is virtually blind in both eyes in Carlisle.
Duke & Guinevere
Duke & Guinevere are a inseparable couple, Duke has a re-occuring cysts which regularly takes visits to the vet. Since being in rescue Guinevere has suffered a few UTI's which pass easy enough but seeing as her and Duke are a lovely married couple she stays to keep an eye on him. A lovely natured laid back pair and a treasure to look after.
Dapple
Dapple is a sweet Cinnamon Rex Sow, she is only approx 2yr old but will stay in our care due to a head tilt and we believe she has brain damage. She spends most of hers days sleeping and seems quite spaced out. Dapple has had a check up at the vets, although they can do nothing for her she is not suffering.
Tiny Tim
Tiny Tim is a lovely Rex, he's approx 6-8 months old. It seem's poor Tim was a bit squashed in mums womb and has appeared with a twisted foot. This gives him no problems but we do bed him on vet bed to stop him rubbing where he walks on it red raw. A big character for a such a wee man!
Cheeky
Cheeky is cheeky by name and nature! he is 13 months old and only has 3 legs! He had an acident which resulted in a broken leg which was unrepairable so had to be amputated. This by no means makes things hard from him but he too is bedded on vet bed to stop any rubbing injuries and he is prone to impaction.
